Surfwaco presents FACTORY

 

Surfwaco proudly presents: FACTORY, a celebration of art, music and life at the historic LL Sams furniture factory. The event will feature a live display and sale of artwork, swimming, live DJ sets by Surfwaco and a special performance by progressive, ambient guitarist, Dan Padgett. BYOB and food. 5pm-9pm(ish). The event will be held in the poolside warehouse.

If you are an artist and would like to show/sell work or items, please contact me (seth.daulton@gmail.com). An original woodcut print featuring the event will be on sale for only $5 as a memorable souvenir of your experience! Come one, come all, experience the FACTORY!

Random Labor Day thoughts

Spent a little time in San Antonio this weekend. I wanted to share some photos that I captured via Instagram. I think I spotted a pipe that was bombed by Knitta Please. Always exciting.

Really excited to see Fleet Foxes, Arcade Fire and Broken Social Scene in a few weeks for ACL! I’ve seen all of these bands perform before and they all have tremendous stage presence.

SurfWaco Obituary

Hydro II, the son of Hydro I, died unexpectantly Saturday morning. He was found floating upside down in between the tree and the side of the tank with a smile on his face. Foul play is not suspected. The County Coroner was not available for comment on the cause of death.

Hydro II has no known children.  A prayer vigil is scheduled at Loaves and Fishes Ministries 5:30 pm, Friday.
